I mean really!!!!!!!.........I may be over 40 ( errrm actually nearer 50) and I definitely am not built like a stick... but I still like to look good. I would really like to see the designers who design the clothes...for the "larger women". I wonder if they are anorexic and jelous of shape.... and deliberately design clothing that is unflattering for anyone larger than a 36 - 38. There are the odd exceptions of course but these have to be hunted for amongst the bulk of absolutely hideous items which pass for fashion. I am sure some of these patterns would have found favour with the ladies of the 17, 18, and 1900`s...dont laugh...picture the hems a little longer and the necklines a little higher and viola !!!! Mrs Retief or Mrs De La rey would have felt very confirtablein them.
And its actually so unnecessary....so many styles will still look great in sizes above 40 or even 42 or 44..........I fail to understand why they are not made in these sizes.
We need one designer ...just one ..to open a shop which supplies beautifully styled and finished clothing for sizes 40 + ..consistently to save us "larger" females. That is my gripe for the day. Hope the weekend is great and GO STORMERS !!!!!
